Description
Our current A-over-IP implementation implements the not officially standardized SCCPlite / IPA multiplex.
Later 3GPP specs actually added proper IP/SCTP encoding of BSSAP/BSSMAP, including the capability to identify media streams by IP address / port parameters of RTP rather than clumsy E1 multiplex + timeslot numbers.
If we implemented that interface, we could interoperate with more other vendors on the A interface.

Yes, its probably a duplicate, or I did not break it up correctly. Currently everything is tracked here: https://osmocom.org/issues/1846 (progress wise we would now be at "AoverIP specific procedures").
