   * USB VID/PID repository: This is so far kept in the Mediawiki, but
I don't see a reason why this couldn't simply convert to just being
a static CSV file that's on a http server, or a small, simple git
repository with that CSV file inside.

i reformatted the wikipages for usb vid/pid and OUI to 'pipe separated values'-files due to the number of other chars being already used (;,:)
files attached.

Ok, I imported the files to and updated the wiki pages that the allocations have moved, and the process to obtain allocations has changed from sending e-mail to sending a pull request.

tsaitgaist has volunteered to maintain this allocation, he's been subscribed to the mailing list (in case people still send mail to or ) and invited to a group that has write access to the github repo.

If tsaitgaist wants to find more volunteers to help out, it's up to him. I'm also forwarding the most recent requests received by e-mail.
