TODO: Get a full trace of this behaviour.

As the title says, the pdp-context is active, generating traffic from the network side results in:

hi pespin I did try out some things last week as it happens, using a combination of nightly debian and locally built master for everything.

I tested both osmo-bts-uhd (Ettus N210 + locked gps module) and osmo-bts-sysmo (sysmoBTS 1002 calibrated) and I got inconclusive results.

Performance was still not satisfactory, but it's difficulte to control a manual test using phones with a range of data apps on them, to track down exactly what is happening.

Sometimes I observed that which looks like what this ticket describes.
Sometimes I still observed what looks like #2455

I still observed the situation where I see a series of bursts on the uplink (just using gqrx + rtl-sdr) but the bts/pcu does not seem to "see" them, although I "think" this issue goes away when I patch osmo-pcu to use a fixed TA, sorry for useless vagueness.

My tests were cut short due to local complaints about the fan noise from the N210 - which is you know.. quite irritating! :-)

I'll try to find an hour today to see if I can get something more useful to you.

I'm closing this issue as;

  1. it's old, I don't remember all the conditions at the time and I posted insufficient info to understand fully what was happening.
  2. There are other issues that better describe current problematic behaviour observed.
