Description

There is UNKNOWN version in the libosmodsp.pc. I tried both v0.3 snapshot and git master and in both cases there is UNKNOWN version. I used the following workaround when building downstream:
test x ./git-version-gen && echo {release} > .tarball-version 2>/dev/null

I think it's the same issue as:
https://osmocom.org/issues/3449

Downstream bugzilla:

I think of the v0.3 as a stable release, so the version there should be correct.

Can you please explain in detail your download/build procedure?

If you checkout the git repository, change to the v0.3 tag and then do a
'make install', or 'make dist' from there, the version information in
the generated binaries/pkg-config should be correct.

I have the feeling you may have been dowloading github-generated
tarballs or some other mechanism which is not provided by osmocom and
hence doesn't come with proper version information

Regards,
Harald

Maybe my fault, I took the release from the:
http://cgit.osmocom.org/libosmo-dsp/snapshot/libosmo-dsp-0.3.tar.bz2

The URL seems non-existent at the moment. What's the correct URL to get the stable release?

we do not provide any URLs for tarballs. Please use "git clone" followed by a "git checkout" of
the related tag. If you need a tarball release, you can use "make dist" from within the repository.
