Description

I'm not sure if this is the correct place to ask this question / suggest this feature:
Is there any possibility to perform a "health check" of a commercial sim card without owning the admin key? In the past I faced some sim cards where I was still able to read out some information like ICCID or IMSI but registering in the operators network was not possible anymore. It would be great if you could provide some hints what parts of the sim card can be checked and at which point this becomes impossible without key.
The optimum would be if pysim would provide kind of a "check sim card" command.

  • Status changed from New to Rejected

you can do a pysim-shell 'export' to dump all the files, but that's about it.

In most cases when a SIM card fails to work it is due to it being rejected by the issuing operator.
