Chipset used¶

• Many SIM800<various letters> modules include a MT6261 inside.
• The SIM800H and SIM800L use an MT6260¹ chip.

Identifying the chip used¶

By connecting the serial RX/TX lines and running a tool such as simple-serial.py one can interact with the bootloader and for example, retrieve the chip-id of the device.
