== Hardware interface == We are using a 120 Ohms balanced connection between the BS11 and a HFC-E1 card. To configure the BS11 hardware correctly, you need to * open the connection between pin 2 and 3 of the 4 jumpers below connector J01 === Cable to RJ45 === * left Y01 PCM in (from BSC): RJ45 pin 4,5 * Y02 PCM out (to BSC): RJ45 pin 1,2 * Y03 PCM connected 1:1 with Y04 PCM == Configuration of BTSM Object == * BS11 requires PCM30CRC4 64kBit/s no Subslots * OM Layer on Timeslot 1 * TEI for OM Layer default Siemens is 25 (but configurable in BS11 [wiki:LMT]) * the following parameters are not configurable * RSL Layer on Timeslot 1, too * TEI for RSL is fixed in Siemens equipment * TEI = 0 für TRX0 * TEI = 1 für TRX1 * Attention: if you select OM Layer TEI 0 oder 1, RSL can no longer be brought up * Timeslots for TCHs * TRX0: TS2 und TS3 * TRX1: TS4 und TS5 == E1 interface == LI Objekt: Line MULTIDROP Impedance 120 Ohm balanced to connect to HFC-E1 board Additionally you will need to change some jumpers on the connector board of BS11 (FIXME: which ones?) == Database == Important database settings: * the database has to be downloaded from PC via E1 to BS11 * BCCH channel combination Type 5 oder 8 (including SDCCH for SMS) * TCH combination 0 oder 9 {{{ Cell config: Not hopping No Concentric Cell = 0 Radiomeasgran =254 No Power Reduction = 0 Excessive distance =0 disabled }}}
