Some complex architecture in which Qualcomm solves the seemingly simple problem of running an Access Point on a (Linux based) mobile phone?

There's a separate QMI IDL service "MAP", it somehow relates to the IPA, and it is implemented - at least in parts - by a proprietary QCMAP_Daemon running on Linux.
