DEC FDDI Controllers¶

DEC manufactured a series of FDDI network controllers for PCI bus called DEFPA.

The family of DEFPA products included both

• SAS (single attach) controllers
  • DEFPA-AA (Multimode SC)
  • DEFPA-UA (UTP)
• DAS (dual attach) controllers
  • DEFPA-DA (Multimode SC)
  • DEFPA-DA (UTP)

They all require 5V PCI bus slots
