The V5MC is the V5 Message Controller unit in the DeTeWe_ALIAN system. It is responsible for handling the V5.2 signaling between the central office switch and the ALIAN and for controlling the switching of incoming 64k timeslots to channel units. Each V5MC has one active C-channel in PG2 for handling up to 288 ISDN BRI subscriber lines.
