Deutsche Bundespost was the state-owned postal office of the Federal Republic of Germany. They had the monopoly on all postal and telecommunications services (such as Telephony, ISDN, Telex, CSPDN__Datex-L, Datex-P, etc.). It had been created in 1950 after WW2, and was privatized in 1995. Its successor in the telcom market is Deutsche Telekom AG. The process of privatization was performed in several postal reforms from 1989 onwards.
