This is our main page about ISDN, The Integrated Services Digital Network. ISDN is a circuit-switched technology established in the 1980s to provide a digital public telephony network suitable not only for voice but also a variety of data applications. It was operated roughly from mid-1980s till mid-2010s in a variety of countries around the world. It was particularly successful in Germany.
