Description

It has been reported that some phones cannot register to an osmocom 2G network.

notably, that list of phone models currently includes
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 8
  • Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

I've orderd a S6 Edge for sysmocom. roh, please investigate if you can reproduce this. Also see RT#22419

I've tested with the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and it recognizes and registers perfectly fine to a osmcoom network running current (last few days) master of everything + osmo-bts-sysmo (sysmoBTS 1002).

i tested the s6edge against a nitb2g pre-split with a sysmobts

voicecall in- and outgoing as well as ussd work fine.

can not reproduce this issue
