@laforge bought an "Auerswald COMmander Basic 2" PBX for purposes of building a small ISDN/PSTN network.
7
8
It currently has the following cards installed:
9
1x E1 port (for connection to e.g. a E1 RAS server)
10 2 laforge
8x S0 ports (for ISDN cards, each S0 port can host two 64k dialup)
11 1 laforge
16x a/b ports (for analog modems)
12 5 laforge
8x Up0 ports (internal 2-wire interface, not directly usable without converters back to S0)

14
h2. Web configuration interface
15
16
The configuration interface of the PBX can be reached at http://192.168.0.24 via the built-in Ethernet port (just use any static IP address in the subnet 192.168.0.0/24 for the PC/browser side). Username "admin", Password "123456".

Bug in old firmware versions: If the web interface looks empty/only the logo is visible, the firmware needs to be updated. This (unfortunately) only seems to work in Internet Explorer. Firefox, Chrome, Edge are all not working. Version 4.2P no longer has this bug.

h2. Dialing Plan
21
22
The telephone numbers are configured as four-digit numbers with the following keys:
23
* first digit is always '2' (other digits reserved for future extension with other PBX)
24
* second digit indicates daughterboard/module: (1-4)
25
* third digit indicates port within module (1-8)
26
* last digit is zero (analog) or 1-2 in case of BRI ports (for the two slots)
27
28
So a number like *2452* would mean:
29
* module number 4
30
* port 5 within that module (S0 bus)
31
* second 64k timeslot / participant on that bus
32
33
h2. Connections to 1U RJ45 panel
34
35
The PBX is wired to the 50-port RJ45 panel in the bottom 1U of the 6U enclosure
