Support #4269
closeddefault value for sctp-role
100%
Description
Hi,
Could you tell me which is the default value for sctp-role, it looks to me that the osmo-stp
will only initiate the connection if I add sctp-role client to the configuration.
But the value doesn't appear neither when doing a show run or in the configuration file.
Config:
cs7 instance 0
xua rkm routing-key-allocation dynamic-permitted
asp stp2 2919 2919 m3ua
local-ip 10.26.30.247
local-ip 10.26.31.247
remote-ip 199.255.7.133
role SG
as STP2 m3ua
asp stp2
routing-key 56 0.8.6
route-table system
listen m3ua 2905
accept-asp-connections dynamic-permitted
listen ipa 5001
end
Thanks
Roch.

the default role for sctp-role in OsmoSTP is "server", and for libosmo-sccp used
in OsmBSC/MSC/... it is client.

yes, that is required and which is also what our test cases do, see the osmo-stp.cfg
that is used there: http://git.osmocom.org/osmo-ttcn3-hacks/tree/stp/osmo-stp.cfg#n51

this is of course a bug. Should be fixed in https://gerrit.osmocom.org/c/libosmo-sccp/+/16098
which I'll merge soon - preferably after having a test.
