it seems i missed that we do not have the lvds transmitters yet yesterday.
so IC1 is still missing, the rest is placed.

So you're trying to tell me that I forgot to order them?
The SN65LVDS1DBVR are missing for whatever reason.
SN65LVDS1DBVR is out of stock at farnell until october. But the SN65LVDS1DBVT is available.

will order them from digikey.
SN65LVDS1DBVR have arrived.
all parts placed, tests have started...
- Status changed from In Progress to Resolved
- Assignee changed from roh to mschramm
- % Done changed from 0 to 70
ic placed.
board tested.
2 important details:
there was a need to place a bias resistor from RD_N to ground (pin4 on ic2) or the whole board would not work. ic2 has internal 100ohm prom pin3 to pin4 and pullups of ~300k to vcc. 100k pulldown on one leg pushes it into the proper operating range. due to the 100ohm its not neccessary to have more than one pulldown.
the other one is adding arrows on the silkscreen like on the sfp breakout (pointing IN next to IC1, and OUT next to ic2)
(more pictures, explaining roh's and tnt's addition)
