Description
I have some patches to prepare for VLR in the gerrit queue (1681-1685),
but I am not sure whether they work fine when committed on their own.
It would be nice if you had the time to perform a BTS test with these patches applied.
(instructions below)

It is sufficient to test only with sysmoBTS.
You need to build only openbsc.git's osmo-nitb from source in order to test the patches.
The other software components can be as you like.
Before you build openbsc, apply the patches like this:
cd openbsc git fetch https://gerrit.osmocom.org/openbsc refs/changes/84/1684/4 && git checkout FETCH_HEAD
(checking out 1684 is correct and fetches all patches, because all of the others including 1685 are parents of 1684)
To check that your source tree has the right patches, the output of
git log --oneline
should look like:

Then make clean and make install in the openbsc source tree.
Make sure that these ran successfully.
Perform tests with this osmo-nitb that was just built.
To get your openbsc.git source tree back to what it was, you can
git checkout master

and ... before you start, make sure that https://gerrit.osmocom.org/1684 has been verified with a V+1 vote by jenkins,
otherwise the build will probably fail for you as well; rather wait another day in case it has V-1.

During the test it was seen, that CS call can not be established. SMS test also failed. GPRS - successful.

In our chat I had asked for TCH/F config, specifically not dynamic timeslots, but ok, I'll make do with this then.
