since you recently dropped the auth policy vty from osmo-bsc, I thought I could assign you this one as well:
the 'authentication (optional|required)" VTY command is firmly VLR land and must go away from bsc.
Can you drop that one as well?

(the 'encryption' command though needs to stay in bsc, see #2461)
